Artist's Comments

My entry in the latest pixelbrush.net event: Opposites.

I chose to paint the Unseelie King and the Seelie Queen, Dark vs. Light, Life vs. Death, Warm vs. Cold, Male vs. Female, Curves vs. Sharp edges, Soft vs. Hard.

There was a hell of a lot more I wanted to do with this, but I think if I'd done another brush stroke I would have crashed my computer. :D

I'm not watermarking it because I trust you people not to steal it...and I want you to appreciate the detail.

Wow, this is so beautiful. I love the little details that really make this piece, like the pattern on the Seelie Queen's gown. Such a lovely piece.

Nice use of contrasting colours, and yet it fits together. Oh cool, even the columns are different :D

Sidhe, Seelie, Faeries Dark and Light. Depends on the translation, or the culture, what they're called. Unseelie refers to the Dark faeries, Seelie to the light.
