While getting packing and cleaning in preparation for holiday traveling, I was grousing that I didn't have time to do anything for all my friends who have birthdays this time of year. My birthday's on the 29th, and I know first-hand how crappy holiday birthdays can be.

"Well, what would you give them, if you could?" Said a voice.

"I dunno. If they weren't scattered to the four corners of the globe, I'd probably invite them over and make a big cake, with buttercream frosting or something."

There's a scratching noise, kind of like a stubby pencil on paper.

"Buttercream, you say? Hmmm... I can do that." Startled, I glance up, only to catch the rear view as Robin exits the room. Normally I don't mind this view, however, this time I'm a little worried.

A few hours later, while trying to wrap up a few last minute projects on the computer, Robin returns. He's got the buttercream frosting... but perhaps I should have been more specific about what exactly I meant by "cake".

(Sorry, it's not quite finished, but I have to finish packing!)
