My version of the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland. Been working on this in my spare time over the last three days or so. I went about it a little different than I normally do, rendering it in grayscale before adding color. The costume is based loosely on one I designed for the play version of Alice several years ago.

I love the different approach you used in the character design! Lovely costume too! God, you are so creative!
I think the grayscale thing looks very nice for this image, but I rather your other coloring method, the colors look more vivid in your other pics.

Yeah, that's how I feel. I like painting in color better because I think it does make the colors more vivid. For this one, though, it worked since I intended for her to be very desaturated but for the red and the flesh tones.

My next piece is full color. I think you'll like it a lot.
